Book Pet Peeves + A Reminder

Hello everybody! So how was your Thanksgiving? And how’s your Black Friday going? So today’s day 28 of Book Bumbling’s  #BookBlogWriMo and today’s prompt is “What plot lines or stereotypes make you cringe or DNF?” and actually my friend N is here to help me with this. Before I get into this awesome joint post, let me first explain that #BookBlogWriMo is “a lax version of  NaNoWriMo for  book  bloggers. [There are] prompts for  each day, discussing  different topics around books,  blogging, and  books + blogging. There’s no  word count requirement, no daily writing requirement, very little  requirements in general.  Just post the posts on the day they should be posted!…Answers to the  prompts  can be as short  or long as you like….You can also write them whenever you want to….As long  as they’re posted on the right day, it’s all good.” To find out more about #BookBlogWriMo, or to take  part in it with me, click here! Ok, now back to the prompt:

So here are my 4 book pet peeves:

  • super perfect characters
  • super un-perfect characters
  • the really cliché moment of “OMG! I’m part of a different world?! Wow! Now I’m going to save the world!”
  • when there’s a lot of clichés

And here are N’s 4 book pet peeves:

  • when the heart throb of the story is way too perfect…
  • ….0r when they are forgiven too easily
  • when there’s too sweet of an ending, like a too perfect ending
  • damsel in distress

So that’s it! Thank you N for your help! What do you guys think? Do you agree? Are there any you want to add on or any you disagree with? Tell me your answers below! Now just a reminder: due to the fact that today is Black Friday – there’s more to it than that but that’s all I’m willing to share – Friday Finds will happen Saturday at the same time it does on Fridays, but it will have Saturday’s news…Just wanted to remind you guys! Thanks, have a great day/night and tata for now!
