Trust Me, I’m Trouble by Mary Elizabeth Summer – Blog Tour

Hey guys! So today is the day! The day of my first official blog tour I believe and it is on the book Trust Me, I’m Trouble* by Mary Elizabeth Summer. The book is the second in its series with the first book being Trust Me, I’m Lying which I absolutely loved. I am doing a review and dream cast but don’t worry, as usual, there will be no spoilers and tons of fangirling lol. Before I get into everything, let me share with you some book details:

Trust Me, I’m Trouble* (Trust Me #2) by Mary Elizabeth Summer
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Release Date: October 13th 2015

The sequel to TRUST ME, I’M LYING*

Staying out of trouble isn’t possible for Julep Dupree. She has managed not to get kicked out of her private school, even though everyone knows she’s responsible for taking down a human-trafficking mob boss—and getting St. Agatha’s golden-boy Tyler killed in the process. Running cons holds her guilty conscience at bay, but unfortunately, someone wants Julep to pay for her mistakes . . . with her life.

Against her better judgment, Julep takes a shady case that requires her to infiltrate a secretive organization that her long-gone mother and the enigmatic blue fairy may be connected to. Her best friend, Sam, isn’t around to stop her, and Dani, her one true confidante, happens to be a nineteen-year-old mob enforcer whose moral compass is as questionable as Julep’s. But there’s not much time to worry about right and wrong—or to save your falling heart—when there’s a contract on your head.

Murders, heists, secrets and lies, hit men and hidden identities . . . If Julep doesn’t watch her back, it’s her funeral. No lie.

Sounds cool, eh? Now, let’s get on with the review:

So I expected the book to be awesome after reading the first one a little while ago and loving it and it didn’t disappoint. There was only one thing that I didn’t really like but we’ll get into that in a bit. Anyway, I loved the plot as it felt like a continuation a bit from the first book so it was nice that it didn’t really jump or anything. The characters were awesome to read! The main characters in the series are Julep, Murphy, Dani, Mike, Bryn and Sam and they were just as awesome to read and follow with as last time with one exception. The exception is that there was a bit of LGBTQ involved in the story and it seemed to come out of nowhere. If you’ve read my blog for a while, or at least follow my posts on The Feministas, then you know I don’t read books with LGBT in them. So just the addition of the romance blindsided me however it also felt much like it was added-on rather than a part of the plot/story. I may be biased so don’t fully take my word it and read the book yourself but that was the only part that I didn’t enjoy in the book. Other than that, I loved the book. The plot was awesome, the writing was wonderful (as usual) and the characters were pretty cool! I loved the chemistry between characters and the squad-y-ness in the book; I think that was maybe my favorite part of the book. All in all though, I suggest you read it! It’s a really good book with some wonderful action and new friendships and so I think that if you like all that, you should totally read the book!

Now onto my dream cast! So I will be doing a dream cast for (from left to right/top to bottom) Julep, Sam, Dani, Murphy, Bryn and Mike! Now as a disclaimer, I got all these pictures from Google and so credit goes to the people/websites who posted them/took them. Okay here we go:
