Hello everyone!! So today is another Summer Blogger Promo Tour (SBPT) post *cue the applause* If you’re unfamiliar with what SBPT is, it is a two-month long post tour created by The Book Bratz, where Tanya and I partner up to bring fun content to you! Today we are both doing reviews! I am doing a review of Infamous* by Alyson Noel and Tanya is doing a review of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina by Roberto Aguirre Sacasa & Robert Hack! Unlike my other reviews where I post the synopsis, I will be getting straight into my review as Infamous is the third book in a brilliant trilogy (and you can get the first book for $2.99* 😱) so the synopsis is spoilery. Let’s get into the vague, non-spoilery review:
So, for those who don’t know, the trilogy follows several people who are caught up in the disappearance of Hollywood It Girl Madison Brooks and it’s been a pretty stellar series! I love reading mysteries set in Hollywood/dealing with celebrities and this book does not disappoint! It is such a fast-paced read that I finished it in under two hours, I just couldn’t stop reading lol TBH I remember what happens but I read it so fast it feels like a blur hahahaha The plot is just sooooo interesting – esp after the cliffhanger from the second book zomg – and I love how, since it’s split between different POVs, you get to read about how each of them pull together various pieces of the puzzle both knowingly and unknowingly and how everything comes to light when you combine it all! I mean, I did not see the end to this book coming at all in the last two books and not in this last one either until they started putting things together!! I think the fact that I didn’t see the end coming for awhile is one of my most favourite parts of the book since it’s gotten relatively easy by now to figure out the mystery in other books.
I will say, though, I wish I got more interaction between characters. I mean, I understand why there wasn’t as much as the previous books – and I might have been too caught up in the mystery that I just don’t remember that as much – but I reallyyyy enjoyed it when characters linked up and communicated and you can see the different chemistries in them all *sighs happily*
Nonetheless, I loved this book and thought it was a brilliant conclusion to the trilogy and now I want to reread them all again straight through hahahaha Anyways, have you guys read the Beautiful Idols trilogy/Infamous* by Alyson Noel? If so, what’d you think? If not, you totally need to read it; it has basically everything you could ever want!! Let me know in the comments below!! Also, don’t forget to check out Tanya’s review on her blog! Thanks, have a great day/night and tata for now!
