The Top Ten Romantic Books I’ve Read

Hello everyone who is seeing this. So, because yesterday was Valentine’s Day (Happy Valentine’s Day btw!), I have decided to make a list of books that I think are the most romantic. These books are not in order of most romantic, they aren’t really in any order at all. Anywaysies here they are:

  1. The Fault In Our Stars  by John Green
  2. Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
  3. Now I’ll Tell You Everything by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
  4. Cress by Marissa Meyer
  5. House of Hades by Rick Riordan
  6. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
  7. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell*
  8. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
  9. All books in the Violet Eden Chapters by Jessica Shirvington
  10. The Shadow Falls series by CC Hunter

*update: I realize now that E&P isn’t a good book for representation in diversity and love. I am keeping it on though simply so you guys can see this. If you want another book to read, I’d suggest reading Fire by Kristin Cashore as that is romantic.

Cress, Scarlet, Cinder and Fury

Hello everyone! So I recently finished Fury by Shirley Marr, and all the books written in The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer up to now (aka Cinder*, Scarlet*, and, Cress*). And let me tell you, they were all great books with the bestest to least bestest going Cress, Cinder/Scarlet (they were pretty much tied), then Fury (by only a bit).

First about Fury: it was pretty good. The story was well written with great character development and pretty good storyline/plot. There was a bitsy bit of romance, some mystery and a lot of awesome, just, I don’t know, good plot/storytelling/storyline.

Now for the other books….

The Lunar Chronicles are to. die. for. They are awesome! So a while back, when Cinder first came out, I started reading it but got a bit bored for some reason (looking back Idk how that happened, the books are so exciting!) so I gave up. Now, Cress came out, the third book in the series and people were raving about it on Goodreads, so I decided to retry reading Cinder and immediately fell in love and just read whenever I could. I was obsessed and in love with the books; I couldn’t put them down. They were just so good! There was a perfect mix of actions, plot/storyline, cyborgs, amazing writing, witty-ness, romance and just pure awesomeness. The best part for me was that all these books were based on Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and next Snow White; all stories that practically everybody has heard/read/listened/watched. They are for sure officially in my top ten favorite books, they are that good. Read them and then tell me how much you love them because they are just sooooo good!

Being A Reader

What it is Like to Be a Reader

To be a reader, you get to experience thousands of lives just by
Turning a page.
To be a reader, you get to connect with the millions of other people
Who rage, love, cry over and despair over the same books
As you do.
You learn lessons you aren’t taught in school and learn about human
Emotion, human thinking and the so many other things that are oblivious
To many.
To be a reader means you get to experience life in a way
No one could have dreamt of.
To be a reader, you feel emotions you didn’t think would happen
Because of a book.
To be a reader, you get to live.

I read too many books for one post: part two

Hello again! So this a continuation from the last post. As I said before, I read the Masque of Red Death duology by Bethany Griffin, which were some pretty good reads.

The first book, Masque of the Red Death* was pretty good. It took me a couple of chapters to get into it but by the time I was done with the book, I could have been interviewed by McDonald s – I was lovin’ it. (funny, eh?) Anyway, all in all, it was pretty good. There was adventure, fun, romance (there was a bit of a love triangle), surprise, deception, and death – all in all in a great book. I can’t pick a favorite character and also don’t ask me if I’m Team Will or Team Elliot; they are both awesome.

So, moving on, I read the novella that comes after the first book, Glitter & Doom, which is about how Kent and April met and what happened next. It was awesome (a bit boring in the beginning though) since one of my fave characters is/was April, I very much liked it.

The next book I read was Dance of the Red Death* which was also as good – the series was just great in general. There was great writing, great characterization, and everything was timed out very well. The only thing I was confused about was the timing because it seemed like it was set both back when the bubonic plague raged on and also in the maybe future… I don’t know but the date setting was kinda confused.

Anyways that’s pretty much it, tata for now!
